NORTH FORSYTH — A woman was left in critical condition after her pickup truck rolled over Friday morning in north Forsyth, but a 3-year-old passenger walked away unharmed, authorities said.

The woman was thrown from the truck during the single-vehicle crash, which occurred about 9:40 a.m. on Keith Bridge Road between Cantrell Circle and Mayfield Drive.

Robin Regan, a spokesman for the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, said the woman was not wearing a seat belt.

According to Regan, four other motorists saw the crash and “immediately rendered aid.” She was flown by helicopter to an area hospital after emergency personnel arrived.

Authorities attributed the young child’s lack of injuries to having been properly restrained in a car seat.

Traffic was diverted down side roads for a couple hours, according to Regan.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
