A 53-year-old Forsyth County woman remains hospitalized with serious injuries after she was struck by a van early Tuesday.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Lelia Arroyo is in grave condition at North Fulton Hospital, where she was taken after the incident.

The collision occurred about 4 a.m. at Atlanta Highway and Bethelview Road, southwest of Cumming.

Arroyo, of nearby Park Place, was struck by a Dodge Caravan, whose driver stayed on the scene afterward, according to the sheriff’s office.

As of Tuesday afternoon, no charges had been filed and the investigation was continuing.
