District 7 U.S. Rep. Rob Woodall will speak from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Forsyth Conference Center, 3410 Ronald Reagan Boulevard. For more information, visit www.woodall.house.gov.
District 7 U.S. Rep. Rob Woodall will return to Forsyth County on Saturday morning for a town hall meeting.
Since elected in 2010, the Republican from Lawrenceville stays in touch with his constituents via telephone town hall meetings or in person, like Saturday’s gathering at the Forsyth Conference Center.
“I love town hall meetings,” he said. “They give me the opportunity to come home and report — in person — to my boss, the voters.”
Woodall will spend an hour talking with residents of District 7, which includes the southern half of Forsyth, about the recent sequestration and future items.
“By the time … [the town hall] convenes, the House [of Representatives] will have passed a budget that represents our community’s values and priorities,” Woodall said. “This budget finally ends Washington’s all-too-familiar pattern of spending money it doesn’t have and provides a brighter, debt-free, future for our children and grandchildren.”
