Forsyth County Sheriff’s investigators are attempting to determine what caused a fatal single-vehicle wreck over the weekend in northeast
Forsyth.

The driver, 44-year-old Kathryn J. Dodd of Alpharetta, was found dead in a wooded embankment off Chattahoochee Road, not far from Shady Grove Road, according to the sheriff’s office.

Forsyth County Sheriff’s Cpl. David Garrison said Dodd, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the 2005 Nissan Maxima she had been driving.

A passer-by reported the vehicle about 2 a.m. Saturday. According to the sheriff’s office the westbound Maxima veered off the road and struck a tree. No one else was in the vehicle.
