The Forsyth County Zoning Board of Appeals decided to revisit two variance requests next month after the applicants did not show up this week to address the matters.
The five-member board voted unanimously during its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday night to postpone requests by D. R. Horton and Shaun Mulhall.
While attendance is not mandatory for applicants, board members said they may have questions before they can decide to approve or deny the requests.
The board will take up the matters again during its May 1 meeting.
In another unanimous vote, the board selected members Jim Kinsey as chairman, Fred Kerr as vice chairman and Debra Bradley as secretary.
It also voted 5-0 in favor of the following items:
• Variance request by Trevor Maurer to allow a swimming pool to be built 10 feet from the rear property line at 1624 Hutton Place instead of the required 245 feet.
• Request from Aleksandr Shkolnik for a side yard variance of 5 feet to allow structures to remain 5 feet from the side property line rather than the required 10 feet at 5235 Double Branches Drive.
• Atlanta Pools’ request for a rear yard variance of 13 feet instead of the required 25 feet. This will allow for a swimming pool 12 feet from the rear property line at 9035 Cranwell Trace.
