Forsyth County has two of the top 10 public high schools in Georgia, according to a consumer data analysis company.
Niche.com recently released its rankings of the best public high schools in Georgia for 2020, and Lambert came in at No. 5. South Forsyth was two spots behind at No. 7.
Niche ranked 422 public high schools in Georgia based on key
statistics using data from the U.S. Department of Education and reviews from
students and parents. Ranking factors included state test scores, college
readiness, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality and high school ratings, according
to the website.
Lambert received an A-plus for academics and college prep; and A for administration and clubs and activities; an A-minus for diversity, food, health and safety, sports and teachers; and a B for resources and facilities.
South Forsyth received an A-plus for academics and college prep; an A for administration, health and safety, and teachers; an A-minus for clubs and activities, diversity and sports; a B for food; and a B-minus for resources and facilities.
Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science & Technology was ranked the No. 1 public high school in Georgia by Niche, followed by Northview High School in Johns Creek; Walton High School in Marietta; Alpharetta High School in Alpharetta; and then Lambert.
Other Forsyth County public high schools in the rankings were West Forsyth (32nd), Forsyth Central (36th) and North Forsyth (80th).
Meanwhile, Pinecrest Academy was ranked No. 20 in Niche’s list of the best private schools in Georgia for 2020.
