Cultural arts center would benefit Forsyth

Forsyth County News

Forsyth County needs a cultural arts center where our students can graduate in Forsyth County, not in Gwinnett. My grandson is graduating from North Forsyth and the graduation is in Gwinnett.

The Lanierland Park belongs to the county. Why not put a cultural arts center there and make Forsyth County equal to those counties that surround us. We are one of the wealthiest counties in the U.S, but we do not have a center for graduations.

Sawnee Art Association has needed a home for many years. A cultural arts center will surely financially sustain itself or every other county around us would not have one.

I ask the county commissioners to please consider this. It would be such an asset. We have many beautiful parks and recreation facilities, but we do not have a center where our students can graduate in their home county. We do not have a place for the arts.

Also, I read about the policemen who took up a collection for the lady whose purse was stolen. How wonderful. My hat is off to our great policemen. We truly are fortunate to live in Forsyth County and be protected by such wonderful individuals.
