Forsyth County News

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I wish to congratulate Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO James McCoy on receiving the Liberty Bell Award, presented by the Forsyth County Bar Association during its recent Law Day luncheon.

Additional congratulations are extended to Mollie Hill, a senior at Forsyth Central High School, who received the Kathy Vail Mock Trial Scholarship, and West Forsyth High School seniors Daniela Calderon and Harrison Sloan, who received the Richard B. Neville Scholarship.

I also commend and thank Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Bagley and other Forsyth County Bar leaders who participated in the Law Day program, which featured remarks by former Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel.

All Georgia lawyers can be inspired by our colleagues’ dedication to raising public awareness of the legal system. Successful efforts such as these serve to fulfill the constitutional promise of justice for all.

Charles L. Ruffin

President, State Bar of Georgia
