The county board demonstrated their prodigious desire for park land at any cost by the purchase of the Buice property.
Wouldn’t it seem logical for the board to vigorously pursue Bethel Park with approximately 80 acres at a significantly lower cost?
The department of parks and recreation has expressed a desire for Bethel Park. Bear in mind that the taxpaying citizens of this county have voted and approved a $100 million bond issue for parks and recreation.
In my opinion it doesn’t benefit the county or its citizens to have the Atlanta city YMCA in our county. Let’s hear from the taxpayers of this growing county. Do we need more parks without premium prices?
