Appreciates efforts of Humane Society

Forsyth County News
This past December I lost my job, and on the same day as I arrived home I, as always, went around our home to check on my lab, Cindi. There she lay in her dog house giving birth to a litter of puppies.

I thought: Of all the days to have your babies the day I lose my job of three years. But it was a beautiful sight. I sat with her through her ordeal and gave her water and petted her and did all the things you do when you love your pet as I have Cindi, since the day I found her in the Kroger parking lot in Dawsonville.

I was also devastated. Here I was with more mouths to feed and no job to even feed mine. Immediately I called the Forsyth County Humane Society and a precious lady named Laurie talked with me, offered me help and let me cry on her shoulder. I was a wreck. Now my puppies are all getting the attention they so desperately needed and hopefully they will all be in good homes where someone can love them and take care of them and make them a part of their family. Cindi is getting spayed and the puppies are fine.

So I just wanted to let Forsyth County know how great our Humane Society people are and how they need our help to help pay them back for all they do for the unfortunate dogs and cats in our county. I thank you FCHS for all you have done for Cindi, her puppies and me. On a day when all was going wrong, you put a little inspiration in my heart. Hopefully I will be able to walk in your office someday with my donation to pay you back for all you have done for me.
