Candidates must get beyond rhetoric

Campaigning for office is no longer about issues or promises, or so it seems. The governor’s race is more like the monkey house at the zoo where a lot of stuff is thrown and a lot of stink is raised, but nothing of substance emerges.

One of the candidates has been there, but had a cloud over his head about a super beltway around Atlanta. The other has been in politics for years and has issues about his business and its finances.

Georgia needs jobs, infrastructure renewal, revenue, and an elevation in education. Let’s pin these two combatants down to answer these needs. If we get nothing but rhetoric we are in bigger trouble than what currently exists.
