Teacher appreciates parents and students

The purpose of this correspondence is to personally thank all of the parents I have known and students I have had the distinct pleasure of teaching the last 8 years at Vickery Creek Middle.

The relationships I cultivated with students and parents have meant everything to me.  I am a firm believer in two things; 1) We all have the desire to be loved and; 2) We all have a great desire to be accepted. This certainly is so important during the middle school years.  I hope I have accomplished these goals having had the wonderful opportunity to teach your child or in many cases, your children. I have been truly blessed beyond words.

Thank you students and parents for your caring and support. A huge thank you to my parents for sharing your most prized possession, your child, with me.  Along the way, I know we all have learned so much and have had fun doing so.

Change is a part of life.  With the zoning changes, my school will lose several teachers to other middle schools. I am one of those teachers. I will be moving to Otwell Middle School for the 2012-2013 school year.  Otwell has opened their doors and hearts in a huge way to all of us transferring from VCMS.  A great big thanks to Mr. Steve Miller, Ms. Beth Holder, and Ms. June Tribble.  It will be great to be a Bulldog!

For my Vickery parents and students, please do not hesitate to contact me at Otwell.  I hope many of you will drop by in the future to say hello.  Thank you again for eight great years at VCMS.  I would also like to convey a big thank you to my colleagues at Vickery who I will truly miss.  The friendships I have developed will last for a lifetime. We have laughed, learned, and excelled together.  I thank you immensely.

My hope and prayer is that God will continue to bless each of you.
