The paint drive held at First Baptist Church in Cumming on June 22 was a big success. I want to thank everyone for donating paint and money to Global Paint for Charity.
Because of the community’s generosity, we collected 500 gallons of used and new paint and over $400 to help offset the processing and transportation costs for the charity. That’s 500 gallons that won’t end up in landfills, which helps the environment.
The recycled paint may be given to charities in developing countries to paint schools, orphanages, hospitals, and more. It might even be used by charities within the Atlanta area.
You can view pictures from the drive on Global Paint for Charity’s Facebook page.
Many thanks to all who donated and helped with the drive.
