Letter: Waiting for answers from Greg Dolezal
Letter

I attended the town hall meeting on Thursday, March 14, at Lambert High School. At the meeting, state Sen. Greg Dolezal (R-Cumming) made a statement of fact that over 1,000 felons voted illegally in Minnesota and that is the reason Al Franken was elected to the U.S. Senate.

I sent him the following email on March 16 pointing out that his statement was factually incorrect and asked him to publicly correct the record. I have not received any response as of today after leaving several voice messages and speaking to one of his assistants.

Here is the text of my email, including information from a MINNPOST article from July 19, 2010:

You quoted statistics regarding U.S. Senator Al Franken’s election in Minnesota. Can you please provide the source documentation for your claim of voter fraud? We would like for you to refer to a study that was done by Washington Week Report from Oct. 18, 2016, by Jenna Goff and Joan Greve that found that since 2000 there have been 44 cases of in-person voter fraud prosecuted out of 1 billion votes.
