Forsyth Central Bulldogs (1-1) at Southwest DeKalb Panthers (1-1)

James R. Hallford Stadium (3789 Memorial College Ave., Clarkston 30021), Saturday, 4 p.m.

Last season: Did not play

Coaches: Chris Bennett (FC); Buck Godfrey (SWD)

Players to watch: QB Dustin Canon, RB Philip Ray (FC); QB Daniel Litt, RB Michael Johnson, RB Jeremy Barnett (SWD)

Outlook: Scoring has been sparse for the Panthers so far, as Southwest DeKalb has totaled 27 points in two games against Martin Luther King and Miller Grove this year. However, the Panthers have only surrendered a total of 30 points, so a low-scoring affair on both sides is a possibility. A low-tempo game could suit Central, as the Bulldogs primarily kept it on the ground in a win over Lithonia in the Region 6-AAAA opener last week. This is one of two Saturday games for the Bulldogs this year.
