Friday's final scores
Lambert 28, Rome 7
Roswell 34, West Forsyth 7
Milton 14, North Forsyth 28
South Forsyth 14, Chattahoochee 52
Forsyth Central 17, Sequoyah 35
North Forsyth and Lambert both earned state playoff berths and secured home field advantage in the first round with victories Friday night.
North Forsyth's victory against Milton in Raider Valley means the Raiders can finish no lower than the second seed in Region 6-AAAAA, and they still have a chance to win the region title next week with a victory against Alpharetta and a Roswell loss to Milton.
Despite losing to Roswell at home Friday, West Forsyth clinched the No. 3 seed in the playoffs thanks to losses by Milton and Centennial.
In Region 7-AAAA, Lambert's win against the Wolves in Rome guarantees that the Longhorns will enter the postseason as the No. 2 seed, as Chattahoochee claimed the region title and the No. 1 seed with a victory at home against South Forsyth.
Despite the War Eagles' loss to the Cougars, the chance of South missing out on the playoffs is next to impossible. Sequoyah would have to win next week against Woodland while outscoring South's scoring total against Northwest Whitfield by 76 points, and — even more unlikely — Rome would have to outscore South's scoring total by 88 points, yet still lose to Chattahoochee.
