Denmark to move up to Class 6A for 2020-21 school year

After spending its first two years of existence in Class 4A, Denmark High School is getting bumped up.

The GHSA announced its reclassification alignments on Tuesday, with Denmark set to move to Class 6A beginning with the 2020-21 school year. Denmark is the only Forsyth County school set to change classifications.

Denmark's reclassification was based on its reclassification count of 2,194, a number that combines its 2019 enrollment (2,014) and the number of out of zone students (180). Schools have until Nov. 11 to appeal their classifications.
