Softball: Denmark eliminated after 9-2 loss to LaGrange

Denmark's season ended Wednesday after a 9-2 loss to LaGrange in Game 3 of the Danes' first-round playoff series.

Kiersten Bell provided the only offense for Denmark, as her two-run home run int he second inning briefly tied the game 2-2.

But LaGrange managed to pull away, scoring in every inning but the third inning, including a four-run outburst in the fourth.

Taylor Gajdik gave up six runs on eight hits in four innings, striking out three and walking one. Aubri Childress pitched two innings of relief, giving up one run on two hits and striking out one.

LaGrange pitcher Camden Smith was nearly unhittable, as Bell's home run and a walk by Emily Armstrong were the Danes' only baserunners. 

Denmark (18-12) finishes the season after achieving several milestones, including its winningest season in school history, its first playoff appearance and first playoff win.
