Former Lambert assistant girls’ soccer coach Will Gifford has been named the new boys’ soccer coach at Forsyth Central.

Gifford’s hiring was announced Saturday in a press release from the school.

“I am truly excited to be a part of the Forsyth Central community,” Gifford said, “and I look forward to the challenges that await as we continue to build the Forsyth Central soccer program.”

Gifford had been an assistant at Lambert since 2012 during which the Lady Longhorns went 39-15-2 and reached the state playoffs in each season.

Gifford has also been an assistant boys’ coach at Parkview for four years and at Shiloh for three years.
