Forsyth Central’s girls lacrosse team earned a measure of revenge by defeating North Atlanta 11-9 on Saturday in Atlanta.
Many of Central’s players were part of a club team that lost a championship game to the Lady Warriors two years ago.
"I couldn’t be prouder of how the girls played today," Central head coach Samantha Bradley said.
"They played their hardest and it showed on the scoreboard."
Central’s Mia Kologronic blocked five of the nine shots on goal taken against her in the first half, while Rachel Fratt scored three of the team’s four goals before the intermission.
Fratt connected for four more goals in the second half, while Tayler Mauldin, Kate Zelaya (2 goals), and Brooke McConnell added one apiece.
