Jeremiah Jones, Forsyth Central

Position: Wide receiver

Height, weight: 6-foot-3, 185 pounds

2012 season: Jones’ production seemed modest – 17 catches for 351 yards and six touchdowns – but consider Central’s run-oriented offense and that Jones averaged an incredible 20.7 yards per catch. That’s why he was a first-team all-county selection and returns as one of the top receivers in the county.

Favorite football moment: "Last year, against North Forsyth in our first game, I caught the first touchdown of the year on a half-back pass.

Most embarrassing football moment: "My sophomore year, when I was playing scout team, I had to try to block one of our corners. I was talking a whole bunch of smack to him like, ‘I’m going to block you so hard this time,’ because he was trying to get behind me. As soon as they snapped the ball, he took off right past me and made the tackle. Everybody yelled at me. It was really embarrassing."
