Max Warner continued his record-setting season of running at the boys track and girls championships this weekend at Jefferson Memorial Stadium.
The Forsyth Central sophomore placed fifth in the Class AAAAA 1,600-meter run with a time of 4 minutes 22.73 seconds setting a new school and county record. Then Warner finished runner-up in the 3,200 in 9:33.60.
Elsewhere at the state meet, Lambert’s Mason Lord placed runner-up in the Class AAAAAA pole vault clearing 13 feet 6 inches. North Forsyth’s Chad Warner placed sixth clearing 13-feet.
Also, North senior Tanner Riddle placed eighth in the high jump clearing 6-4.
