Girls soccer: Lambert prevails against South Forsyth in penalty kicks
L MECraven 031917 web
Down a goal with less than four minutes remaining, Lambert junior M.E. Craven streaked up the middle of the field from her defensive position and into the heart of the South Forsyth girls’ soccer team’s defense. Craven didn’t score, but the impact of her skill and confidence was a reminder of what the Lady Longhorns lacked the last time they faced their rival. Craven drew a foul in the box, which Maddie Eddleman converted for the tying goal in Lambert’s eventual 2-1 victory in extra penalty kicks Thursday at home.
