When, where: Friday, 5:30 p.m., at The Horn in Suwanee.

Records, rankings, seedings: Pope is 11-9, unranked in Class 6-7A and the No. 3 seed from Area 4-6/7A; Lambert is 15-5, ranked No. 6 and the No. 3 seed from Area 5.

What to know: The Longhorns’ wins in the first and second rounds are the program’s first state playoff victories ever. Even more impressive is that Lambert has earned both on the road. This time, the Longhorns get to play at home, their first game at The Horn since April 28. Lambert is riding an eight-game winning streak dating back to April 11. This will be the first meeting ever between the two teams.

What’s next: Will face the winner of Cambridge-Walton Wednesday in the state semifinals.
