Lambert centerback Emily Wilhelm signed her letter of intent to play soccer for (Div. II) Georgia College and State University.
Wilhelm said the most important and luring aspect of GCSU was its nursing school.
"They have a really good nursing program there that I really liked," Wilhelm said. "I want to get involved with the community and excel in the nursing program.
"[GCSU] is an up-and-coming soccer program. They have a lot of freshmen coming in, and when I committed, [the coach] talked about how the defenders have an equal chance to make their name known as long they work and really compete for it."
Wilhelm is confident she can become an impact player as a freshman since Lambert coach Scott Luthart promoted an up-tempo practice atmosphere.
"I played with some of the other [defenders on the team] and know what their tendencies are, so the practices are going to be cutthroat," she said.
"Coach Luthart made sure we were working hard every day in practice to prepare us, so I’ll be ready."
