Alpharetta at North Forsyth

When, where: Friday, 7:30 p.m. at Raider Valley in Coal Mountain.

Records, rankings: Alpharetta is 4-5, 3-5 in Region 6-AAAAAA and unranked; North is 2-7, 2-6 and unranked.

Series history: Alpharetta leads 7-0.

Last meeting: Alpharetta won 34-14 in 2014.

What to know: North finally earned its second win of the season last week to eclipse the previous win total from 2014. That was against a hapless Habersham opponent. If the Raiders can manage to keep the momentum going and finish on a positive note against Alpharetta, they can write home about significantly marked progress.

That was the tune of the Raiders early in the year after beating Chattahoochee, who has yet to win this year, and coming close against a powerful Cherokee team. But injuries and self-inflicted mistakes continued to plague North for the majority of the region schedule. More glaring, they still struggled mightily against fellow Forsyth schools, though this season the county has taken a grip at the top of the Region 6 standings.

This will be the last game for seniors in the program, including quarterback Jacob Bailey and utility player Cody Dwyer.
