North softball goes 3-1 at tournament

North Forsyth won three out of four games in the Softball in the Sand tournament held in Brunswick on Friday and Saturday.

The Lady Raiders knocked off Camden County 8-0, Charlton County 13-3 and Apalachee 7-4 before falling to Heritage 6-0.

Sara King, Sydney Turner and Lea Ann Porter each earned a win in the circle. Breena Gwaltney (4), Andrea Coleman (4), Sydney Turner (3), Darrian Short (2) and Ashlyn Mangum (2) paced the team at the plate with a combined 15 RBIs.

North has now won eight of its last nine games, improving its record to 8-4.
