Caleb Bohn and Josh Boeye each contributed with 17 and 24 points, respectively. Pinecrest’s girls fell to 0-8 overall, falling to the Eagles 62-11.
Denmark’s boys suffered their first-ever region loss to defending 7-4A champion Blessed Trinity on Friday night, but the first-year school still put up a fight, falling 69-60. Trevor Byrk notched a double-double for the Danes with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Denmark’s boys fell to 6-3 overall and 1-1 in the region with the loss.
Forsyth Central’s boys remained winless after suffering a 95-85 loss to Johns Creek on Friday night. The Bulldogs held a 47-40 advantage at halftime, but saw that lead disappear in the second half. Joakeim Celestin led Central with 28 points, while Jake Craft added 16. Central’s girls came away with a 56-37 win against Johns Creek, moving to 5-3 on the year. Aisha Dabo, Morgan Day and Gina Fishler each scored in double digits.
