The Longhorns needed five pitchers to get through a Region 5-7A loss Friday on the road.

Brady Burroughs and Jack Fleming had hits for Lambert (11-16-1, 4-8).


West Forsyth 15, Chattahoochee 4

The Wolverines cruised to a victory Friday at home that set up a meeting at Milton next Friday to decide the Area 3-6/7A champion.

West led 8-3 at the half and never looked back, getting goals from Cami Merkel, Ella Madson, Jill White, Maggie Bruce, Kelsey Sowa and Kate Pulliam and strong play in goal from Tori Gadsden.

JR Brockman had three goals as the Wolverines earned an Area 3-6/7A victory Thursday on the road that clinched a spot in the state playoffs.

Carson Smith made 15 saves in goal for West.


Milton 2, South Forsyth 0

The War Eagles finished their Region 5-7A schedule with a loss Friday at home.


South Forsyth 1, Milton 0

PJ Mollenauer scored the lone goal for the War Eagles in a Region 5-7A victory Friday at home.

Aarnav Sandhu earned the shutout in goal for South, which earned at least a share of the region championship with Lambert.
