Pinecrest Academy senior Nolan Stafford verbally committed to play football at Washington University in St. Louis.

Stafford, an offensive lineman and linebacker for the Paladins, had 45 tackles including five for losses and 1.5 sacks this past season. He would join a Washington University program that is a member of the University Athletic Association in Division III. The Bears went 3-6 overall and 0-2 in the UAA this season.

Nolan would be the third Stafford sibling to play college football. Logan Stafford is a sophomore offensive lineman at MIT. Preston Stafford was a defensive lineman at Johns Hopkins University from 2012-15.
