The Pinecrest Academy football team got back to .500 on Friday with a 21-12 at King’s Ridge Christian.

Patrick Sullivan scored three touchdowns for the Paladins, two long runs up the middle and another on a pick-six in the Tigers’ red zone. Pinecrest, which moved to 4-4 with the win, forced four turnovers in total on defense.

The win is a significant boost to the Paladins’ hopes for making the Class 1A-Private playoffs. Pinecrest entered the game sitting at 24th in the GHSA’s power rankings, putting them in the very last playoff spot. Their final regular-season game next week is against 6-2 Mount Paran Christian.
