When, where: Friday, 7:30 p.m., at Pinecrest Academy Stadium in Cumming.

Records, rankings: Fellowship is 4-3, 2-1 in Region 6-A, Div. B and unranked; Pinecrest is 6-1, 3-0 and unranked.

Series history: Fellowship leads 3-2.

Last meeting: Pinecrest won 14-7 in 2014.

What to know: Fellowship, coached by former Creekview great Al Morrell (48-25 at Creekview), is looking to finish with its first winning season since the coach took over in 2013 (5-5 in 2013, 4-6 last year). They’re close, and should be a formidable match for a Pinecrest team that has flirted with the polls in recent weeks.

Fellowship shut down Whitefield Academy in a 28-3 win last week, while Pinecrest is coming off a close, 28-25, win against Mount Pisgah. Pinecrest needs two more wins to eclipse its best win total since 2009 when it went 11-2, as well as its best finish under Winter.

Pinecrest has shown its ability to win close games, taking a 27-24 overtime victory against Trion on Sept. 18 and the win last week. Other than that, the Paladins have had no problem blowing out opponents. A win for Fellowship would give them the tiebreaker over Pinecrest in the division, which will give this game a championship-esque atmosphere even though there’s still two weeks to go in the regular season.
