HEBRON CHRISTIAN ACADEMY AT PINECREST ACADEMY
When, where: Tonight, 7:30 p.m., at Pinecrest Academy Stadium in Cumming.
Records, rankings: Hebron Christian is 2-1 and unranked in Class 1A; Pinecrest is 3-1 and unranked in Class 1A.
Series history: Pinecrest leads 1-0.
Last meeting: Pinecrest won 35-0 in 2012.
What to know: It looks like Pinecrest has found its stride on offense after a shaky start to the season. The Paladins tallied a season-high 43 points in last week’s win over Lakeview Academy. Freshman quarterback Ryan McCarthy racked up 96 yards and four touchdowns, as Pinecrest finished the game with 230 rushing yards.
Hebron, which only won one game last season, has already captured two wins. However, the Lions will likely have a tough time picking up a third win thanks to Pinecrest’s defense. The Paladins have held their last three opponents under 10 points and will try to do the same with Matthew Walters leading the defense.
