Pinecrest hoped it could hang with Class A No. 4 Mount Paran last Friday in Kennesaw, but things went awry early—the Paladins fumbled on a first-quarter kickoff return, allowed an 80-yard touchdown pass and a 40-yard hail mary touchdown as time expired in the first half. Ryan McCarthy and Mitchell Ojeda scored for Pinecrest. McCarthy (370 yards) and Ojeda (292 yards) rank fifth and sixth on the county rushing leaderboard, despite having played only four games, one fewer game than every other Forsyth County team.
