When, where: Tonight, 7:30 p.m., at King’s Ridge in Alpharetta.

Records, rankings: Pinecrest is 0-0 and unranked; King’s Ridge is 0-0 and unranked.

Series history: King’s Ridge leads 2-1.

Last meeting: King’s Ridge won 45-7 in 2012.

What to know: Pinecrest starting sophomore quarterback Jake Mangan will have his hands full against King’s Ridge. The Tigers’ defense surrendered 19 points per game last season, but held Pinecrest to only seven in the 2012 season-opener.

The Paladins will look for revenge, as sophomore linebacker/offensive lineman Matt Walters leads the charge. Todd Winter returns to Pinecrest for his second season at the helm, so the team should have a better grasp of the system than the season-opener last year.
