The War Eagles overcame a six-run deficit for a 17-12 non-region win over Lakeside-Atlanta on Thursday at home.
South improved to 6-10.
Down 11-5 in the bottom of the fifth, the War Eagles exploded for 10 runs to take control of the game.
Jack Litras led South at the plate going 4-for-4 with a home run.
Michael Strait went 2-for-4 with a home run, while Horbin Figueroa and Gavin Crimmins each went 3-for-4. The War Eagles had 17 hits as a team.
