When, where: Tonight, 7:30 p.m., at War Eagle Stadium in Cumming.
Records, rankings: Habersham is 0-2, 0-1 in Region 6-AAAAAA and unranked in Class AAAAAA; South is 2-0, 1-0 in Region 6-AAAAAA and unranked in Class AAAAAA.
Series history: South leads 1-0.
Last meeting: South won 49-7 in 2014.
What to know: There’s a good chance, if South handles its business, that the War Eagles will be 3-0. Habersham is off to another rocky start, this team with head coach Benji Harrison, after a 42-14 loss in the season opener to Rabun county and the result against Northview this past week.
South and Habersham aren’t familiar foes. They’ve only faced off one other time, which was last season when South won 49-7 on the road against head coach Michael Pollack. South is coming into the game having flexed its muscle on offense in Game 1 and defense in Game 2. Defensive end Cameron Kline will be hard pressed to out-do a five sack performance from last week—certainly two or three will be sufficient—and the offense will have some room to amp it up a notch after not having a 200-yard passer or 100-yard rusher in its win against Centennial.
