Football: South earns highest-ever ranking in GSWA poll

The South Forsyth football team came in tied for fourth place in Class 7A in this week's Georgia Sports Writers Association high school football poll, which is the highest the War Eagles have ever been ranked. 

South is 4-0 on the season, with its strongest wins coming in its season opener against then-No. 2 Roswell and in week four against South Gwinnett. On Friday, the War Eagles are set to face Lassiter, which is tied for 10th in the poll this week.
