The South Forsyth High School cheerleading program is proud to announce that four of its senior cheerleaders have been selected to advance to the GCCA Cheerleader of the Year Competition in Columbus on Saturday, Aug. 10, at 11 a.m.
Kennedy Chambers, Taylor Giller, Madison Lively and Macy Sarver have been selected to compete at Columbus State University for one of 16 spots on the Georgia All-State Cheerleading squad. The applicants were judged based on academics including standardized test scores, extracurricular activities and reference letters.
These four girls will be competing against 40 other cheerleaders to be recognized at the state cheerleading competition in November. The top two cheerleaders will be awarded a scholarship from the GCCA based on their overall score including application, cheerleading performance and an interview.
