JOHNS CREEK – Chris Cummings went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and the Longhorns cruised to a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Wednesday on the road.
Turner Scruggs got the win for Lambert (17-5, 13-1), allowing just one unearned run over four innings. JJ Clement finished the game with a scoreless inning of relief.
The Longhorns pounded out eight hits and drew 11 walks and had two big innings, a five-run first and six-run fifth.
Lambert also got strong performances from JD Dutka (1-for-3, two runs, two RBI) and Brady Ballstadt (1-for-1, 2B, two RBI).
North Forsyth 9, Habersham Central 8
Brant Stark had three RBIs and the Raiders withstood a late Habersham rally for a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Wednesday at home.
Caleb Dixon got the win for North (14-8-1, 12-4), his sixth of the season going 5 1/3 innings and striking out three.
Matthew Heard and Zac Slaton each had two hits for North.
South Forsyth 13, Centennial 3
ROSWELL – Brett Graczyk went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and the War Eagles got a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Wednesday on the road.
Caston McDonald got the win for South (12-12, 8-8), allowing three runs, all unearned, over six innings with seven strikeouts.
Jordan McGriff went 1-for-3 with three RBIs, Michael Strait was 2-for-4 with two RBI, Justin Graczyk went 2-for-3 and Trae Dunn, McDonald and Max Schmal each scored two runs.
West Forsyth 5, Johns Creek 1
Alec Wilson had three hits including a two-run home run and the Wolverines earned a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Wednesday at home.
Derrick Picket got the win for West (15-7, 13-3), his fifth of the season. Connor Hawkins got the save.
Hampton McConnell added two hits, including a triple.
BOYS LACROSSE
Lambert 12, Lovett 11 (OT)
ATLANTA – Matt O’Rourk scored three seconds into overtime and the Longhorns earned a significant non-area victory Wednesday on the road.
The win improved Lambert to 13-2 overall and further cemented their No. 1 ranking in Georgia across all classifications, according to Laxpower.com.
Trey Arnold got the assist on O’Rourk’s goal.

The Longhorns cruised to a non-region victory in their regular season finale Wednesday at home.
Lambert ended the regular season 14-4 overall and ranked No. 10.
GIRLS SOCCER

Emily Haugen scored the game’s lone goal as the Lady Longhorns ended their regular season with a non-region victory Wednesday at home.
The win finishes the regular season a school-best 16-2 and will play Pope on Tuesday in the first round of the Class AAAAAA tournament.
Maggie Hanusek assisted on Haugen’s goal.
