Mill Creek at West Forsyth

When, where: Friday, 7:30 p.m., at The Den in Cumming.

Records, rankings: Mill Creek is 0-1 and unranked in Class AAAAAA; West is 0-0 and unranked.

Series history: First meeting.

Last meeting: First meeting.

What to know: Mill Creek dropped out of the top 10 in Class AAAAAA after a 31-14 loss to Colquitt County in the Corky Kell Classic last Saturday. The Hawks led 14-10 at halftime, but Colquitt scored 21 unanswered points in the second half to pull away. Still, Mill Creek is full of talent, particularly on offense with three players who have committed to Division I schools in quarterback Daniel David (Appalachian State) and offensive linemen Kaleb Kim (Auburn) and Josh Fannin (Middle Tennessee). That unit averaged 40.2 points per game last season.

West knows plenty about prolific offenses. The Wolverines averaged 33.5 points last season, led by quarterback Hampton McConnell, the 2013 Forsyth County Offensive Player of the Year who is verbally committed to Georgia Southern. West hopes to pick up where it left off with first-year head coach Adam Clack, who was offensive coordinator last season under long-time head coach Frank Hepler.
