Dacula is a battle tested team, coming off a 3-point loss to Arabia Mountain and a 30-0 loss to Mill Creek (which, honestly, at first glance looks like a respectable result against the No. 1 team in Class 7A). West hasn’t lost a full game so far this season, with its lone loss a 20-10 halftime final against a state champion in Pace Academy. West’s players feel like, especially considering the team battled early health issues, that another half against Pace could have meant a 3-0 start and quite possibly an early top-10 ranking.
