Records, rankings, seedings: West is 17-3, ranked No. 10 in Class 6-7A and the No. 2 seed from Area 5-6/7A; Lassiter is 14-4, ranked No. 3 and the No. 2 seed from Area 4.

What to know: This state playoff run has been history-in-the-making for the Wolverines, who had never reached the state playoffs before this season. This will be West’s toughest challenge of the playoffs yet. Lassiter was the Class 6A state runner-up last season, losing 6-3 to an undefeated Lambert team, and they’re battled-tested after a close 9-8 victory against No. 8-ranked Mill Creek in the second round.

What’s next: Will face the winner of Allatoona-Walton Wednesday in the state semifinals.
