Before the business closed up Wednesday, a woman took a gold minivan from a South Hall dealership and never came back, according to authorities and employees of the dealership.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a suspect in the theft from Kar Kingdom on Atlanta Highway in Buford.

Salesman Tony Ruiz said a woman was dropped off and gave a driver’s license, saying she wanted to take a gold 2005 Chrysler Pacifica for a demo ride.

“She took the vehicle and never came back,” Ruiz said.

For protective measures, salesmen took a picture of the license and can use GPS tracking on some of the high-end vehicles. This car did not have GPS tracking.

“We’ve had someone actually take a vehicle and go and handle business — personal business — and then come back hours later, but not taking and never come back,” salesman Corey Washington said.

Washington said it was busy in the evening and the dealership was getting ready to close when she entered the dealership.

“After looking at the license a second time, it didn’t really look like her,” Washington said. “She planned this out.”
