Local businesses will have the opportunity to showcase their products and services at the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce’s Business Expo next month.

Registration is open for the event, which will feature more than 60 local businesses. The early registration rate of $500 ends Friday, when the price will go up to $650. Businesses also have the option of premium registration, which costs $100 more and allows vendors to choose their booth location.

The expo will be held at the Forsyth Conference Center at Lanier Technical College from 2 to 7 p.m. Aug. 13. Admission will be free for both members and non-members of the Chamber of Commerce.

Jason Mock, director of small business services for the chamber, said the expo will have a “wide variety” of vendors, including banks, technology companies, automotive repair businesses and certified public accountants. Local restaurants will also be serving food and beverages.

Mock said the expo is one of the county’s largest networking events, so participation can be beneficial to businesses looking for exposure.

“This is a great opportunity for businesses to get to know one another,” he said. “This is an opportunity to showcase new products and new services that you may have to not only the business community but the community itself.”

Mock said the chamber plans to have 66 booths at the expo and is hoping to fill the spots by July 31. A registration form can be found on the chamber’s website.
