FORSYTH COUNTY -- A local group will be delivering lunches next week for a good cause.
From 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, the Forsyth County Child Advocacy Center will be holding its Lunch Bunch fundraiser, which will bring prepared lunches to the community. Orders are due by 5 p.m. on Monday.
Offered on the menu is a chicken club wrap, ham and cheese sandwich, chicken Caesar salad and options that are meatless or gluten free that will be similar to the salad, but with certain items removed.
Each meal will be served with water and either a brownie or cookie, including the gluten free meal which will have a prepackaged, gluten free cookie or brownie. The sandwich and wrap comes with a choice of pasta salad or chips.
“Our numbers over the last few that we had done had dropped a little bit and also we had a lot of people who said, ‘If you had this we might order,’” said Tennile Chapman, a spokeswoman with the center.
Tickets are $12. Though the main delivery area is Cumming, some Gainesville locations may be able to receive delivery.
All money raised will go toward the center, a child-focused, facility-based program where representatives from numerous disciplines meet to discuss and make decisions about the investigation, treatment and prosecution of child abuse cases.
Orders can be made online at eventbrite.com/e/lunch-bunch-tickets-25146527942 or http://bit.ly/1Oc4S1p.
