A Hall County man is accused of transmitting sexually explicit photographs on his cellphone and later tampering with evidence, according to authorities.

Roman Fletcher Boychuck, 19, was charged Monday with sexual exploitation of a child.

According to authorities, Boychuck allegedly had an “inappropriate relationship with a juvenile” on April 24.

“Boychuck took photographs and subsequently transmitted them using his cellular telephone,” Hall County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Scott Ware wrote in a news release.

During a Sheriff’s Office search on Boychuck’s home, investigators reportedly found a small amount of marijuana and seized his cellphone. He was then charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession and misdemeanor obstruction from him allegedly “destroying a quantity of pills in the presence of deputies and investigators,” Ware wrote.

“While conducting an analysis on the cellular telephone, it was determined by investigators that Boychuck had remotely deleted evidence stored on the device,” Ware wrote.

Investigators obtained warrants Thursday and arrested Boychuck on Monday. He remains in the Hall County Jail.
