An employee of a local bail bonds company has been charged with having inappropriate contact with two female clients while on the job.

Michael Scott Dodd, 52, of Forsyth County was arrested Wednesday by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. He faces two counts of sexual battery, one count of solicitation of sodomy and one count of public indecency.

Dodd was released later that day after posting $14,960 bond at the Forsyth County Detention Center, a jail spokeswoman said.

Sheriff’s Investigator Matt Starr said a woman reported in late January that Dodd, who was working for Bad Luck Bail Bonds, inappropriately touched her while she was filling out paperwork.

Starr said the woman was in the process of bonding out of the local jail on a charge of driving under the influence.

Earlier this month, another woman came forward with a similar complaint against Dodd. That woman was filling out paperwork to bond out a friend, Starr said.

As a result of the first allegation, Dodd was removed from a list of approved bondsmen at the jail, said Sheriff’s Lt. Duane Piper.

A man who answered the phone at Bad Luck on Wednesday said he could not comment on the case.

The women’s identities have not been released.

Sheriff’s Lt. Col. Gene Moss said the investigation is ongoing.

“We feel comfortable with the evidence against this individual and the investigation is continuing to determine whether there are other victims,” Moss said.
