CUMMING — In the midst of March Madness, the sheriff’s offices in Forsyth and Lumpkin counties will square off in a bracket challenge of their own to raise money for a worthy cause.
Teams from the two agencies will compete Thursday night in the Guarding Against Cancer charity basketball game at the Lumpkin County High School gymnasium.
All proceeds from the event, which starts at 7:30 p.m., will go to Relay for Life. In addition, the event will feature pizza and soda sales, as well as a raffle, to help raise money for the organization.
Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and younger are free.
