NORTH FORSYTH — The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with the May 13 armed robbery of a north Forsyth gas station.

According to the sheriff’s office, 30-year-old Arno C. Lamb III of Cumming has been charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery.

Lamb, who was arrested at an undisclosed location Tuesday, is being held at the Forsyth County Detention Center. Bond has been set at about $30,000.

The robbery occurred about 8:30 p.m. May 13 at the Chevron gas station on Matt and Dahlonega Highways about 8:30 p.m.

Armed with a handgun, the suspect reportedly walked in and demanded cash.

Sheriff’s reports indicated the man told the clerk he “didn’t want ones or fives and that he was desperate.”

After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect walked out of the store, though it was later determined he had a getaway vehicle parked nearby.

The suspect was described at the time as a white man, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall. He reportedly had some facial hair on his chin and “old” and “bad” tattoos on his arms.
